Kenyan champions Gor mahia (K’Ogalo) today afternoon claimed all 3points without dropping a sweat the entire 90 minutes and goes top of the SportPesa Premier League table ahead of second placed Sofapaka.
The win came courtesy of a walkover against Mount Kenya United, who failed to turn up for the match due to some internal club problems, with some sources saying the players are owed almost 3-6 months salary.
The match was scheduled to kick off at exactly 3 pm. At the time of kick off their opponents Mount Kenya players were still stranded at City Stadium half an hour to the game and the referee had no other option other than roll over the ball with two goals and three points in favor of Gor mahia .
Gor mahia (52 points) sits top of the table having played two games less second placed Sofapaka Fc on (48 points) and third placed Bandari Fc on (45)
